Hello, world – I’m Kate! While I consider myself a writer at heart, I haven’t really honed my skills over the years. This blog is an attempt to remedy that and to provide a creative outlet for my thoughts, as well as being a place for personal updates about my life as a wife to Wilson, an “investor in people” (a term my friend coined as a description for my work in student ministry), and a follower of Jesus Christ.
One might accurately describe me as a people-loving introvert (INFJ), a baker striving to revamp my beloved muffin recipes to reduce refined carbs and sugar, a devotee of interior/home design and organization, and an avid reader of everything from theology blogs to classic mystery novels (think Agatha Christie et al). My favourite things include sleeping in, cold weather (bonus points if there’s snow involved), homemade baked goods in general and cinnamon buns in particular, British crime dramas (historical and otherwise), iced lattes, singing worship music (especially old and modern hymns), anything written by P.G. Wodehouse, and playing board games with friends. I am also a fan of the Oxford comma, excessive use of parentheses (trust me – if you haven’t already noticed, it’s hard to ignore!), and not taking myself too seriously.
Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to leave love notes and other praise and adulation in the comments! Please note that while all comments are deeply valued and appreciated by the editorial staff, we are not accepting criticism, constructive or otherwise, at this time.
